There are so many people venturing out to grow their own food and certainly we encourage this. We also encourage people to get some training from someone who knows at least a little more than you do. If you take lessons from someone who is not affective you may end up where they are. The ski is has no limits. Be creative. Make your agriculture project a laboratory. Why not? George Washington Carver made it is aim to know every bug that he would have to combat in order to grow healthy product. As I said; why not? Life is a big laboratory. The more you know the better equipped you become to handle what life throws your way. Likewise in the garden!
Shekinah products are grown naturally and is healthy. Take this challenge and launch out to grow a tomato plant, some lettuce or some spinach! You may fail the first time but if you stay at it you will discover you can do it and maybe even do it very well. The sense of satisfaction of growing your own food will overwhelm you. If you choose not to do your own growing, Shekinah Farms of Dayton will custom grow for you.
Here are a few tips:
•Have a soil sample done so you can know what soil amendments are necessary to grow which vegetables, herbs or fruit species you select.
•When ordering seed make sure what zone you are in, whether or not the plant of choice does well in cool season or better in warm weather climate. This is beneficial to know when you start, how many days to maturity so you can factor in whether or not the weather will beat you in your growing season. Note: Ask your seed vender is the seed fresh and or fertile.
Remember weather is always a major factor and plays a major role on your finished product!
• Practice patience. If you get low yields be willing to look at what you did or did not do. With a little adjustment even if you miss the mark on the first try, don’t give up. Do some study and be willing to make some adjustment; You may just become good at growing whatever is on the menu! Who knows, you may even stumble upon something inventive enough to change the world!!!

Food has taken a turn for the worse. Industrialized food is poor quality at its best. You have to make some quality decisions regarding what you will eat and how you will prepared it.
Shekinah Agriculture is working toward solving this dilemma for people who are willing to make a shift and assure themselves, their family and maybe their community quality and healthy food. Shekinah Farms is introducing community based food hubs.
Community Based Food Hubs is the answer to many problems. Its different but effective! The benefits are multi-facted. The problem with generating new models for living is most people are stuck in what is they are familiar with and accustomed to doing what they have done in the past. However, new models are necessary when the old models are broken. I assure you the old food distribution models are broken. The way food was grown and processed in the past are no long relevant. Industrialized food systems are synthetic. It is not even real food. It is harvested before it is ripe and ripened through artificial means. Gases, and other unnatural methods. The consumer eats it and don’t even know many times they are not nutritionally fit and in some cases just filler; making you fill full but lacking substance and nutritional content.
